What it is, in detail
Administered by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Three-stage exam (Foundation → Intermediate → Final) with a mandatory 2-year articleship. Traditionally the deepest accounting + taxation credential in India; a common precursor to CFO roles.
