Corporate finance is the CFO's brain — deciding how much debt vs equity to hold, which projects to fund, whether to buy or build, and how much cash to return to shareholders. It combines FP&A, corp dev, treasury, and investor relations.

A day in the life

10:00 — model a build-vs-buy decision for a new market. 12:00 — investor call prep for Q results. 2:00 — review capex proposal from the ops team. 4:00 — refresh capital-allocation deck. 6:00 — align with tax on a proposed acquisition structure.
